Microfinance Graduation

This impact evaluation is being conducted in collaboration with Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) at Yale University. The project aims to conduct an impact on an intervention targeted at the ultra poor residing in the coastal area of the Sindh Province. The intervention combines an intensive period of training, financial education and saving, with the intention that participants will eventually graduate (after 18 months) into a standard microfinance program. The impact evaluation aims to yield independent assessments of strengths and limits in order to validate and improve interventions that have the potential to improve the lives of hundreds of millions of poor households currently outside the purview of microfinance.
